Gray
While the black and white parts of life are important, maybe it is the gray that shapes us, that shows us what we are. The gray is all around us if we notice it. The way you love someone, but can’t describe it to anyone else. The way a bruise is a beautiful reminder of a painful past. The fleeting empathy you have with a stranger while waiting for the bus in the rain or eating lunch alone....

I think I have an actual plan for next year:
Apply to Belmont and Vanderbilt.
If I don’t get into Vanderbilt then I will go to Belmont and I shall be happy with all my options.
Everything will be lovely.
I feel rather clear-headed right now.

Last night
was so good. It was just what I needed. And today was lovely and I am sleepy and don’t want to sleep alone. I miss my friends in Chicago, but it’s a good miss kind of way ya know. Everything is just good right now.
